According to the website of the Paris City Hall, Mayor Bertrand Delanoë is set to propose on April 21, 2008 to the Conseil de Paris that the Dalaï Lama become an honorary citizen of Paris. With this gesture, the city of Paris shows its supoprt behind the people of Tibet.

2004 : Aung San Suu Kyi.
2003 : Iouri Bandajevski.
2002 : Ingrid Betancourt.
2001 : Mumia Abou Jamal
